The switch from Insight to Time Warner has caused some new customers to lose both their phone and their Internet connection for days.
Mary Jackson, an elderly woman living in Evansville, recently became a Time Warner customer but her experience has been disappointing thus far.
On Sunday, Jackson realized that she was unable to use her phone and her Internet. On Tuesday, she visited the local Time Warner office to report the issue. She was told that it would be fixed on the very same day but, when she spoke to me this afternoon, her problem had still not been resolved.
"They lied to me," said Jackson. "I am so upset because they lied to me."
Jackson is also worried about her safety the safety of her neighbors.
"I am concerned about the other elderly people in the neighborhood who probably do not have phone service because of this ordeal," said Jackson. "We have a lot of problems in our neighborhood with people breaking into our garages. If they do not have their phone, they cannot call for help."
I spoke with Jackson moments ago and she said that employees from Time Warner were at her house. It seems that she will be reconnected before the end of today.
