Police in the Chicago area are trying to determine who dumped the body of a newborn baby in a recycling plant.
The body of the infant boy was discovered early Wednesday inside a soft-cell cooler.
Police say the child was wrapped in a dark towel with his umbilical cord still attached.
The recycling plant receives materials from multiple states.
Police believe the cooler came in on a truck that picked up items from a Wisconsin suburb.
Investigators are waiting for autopsy results to determine the exact cause of death and where the body was dumped.
