An Oakland City woman has been arrested on several charges including domestic battery after allegedly injuring her partner with a knife.
Around 2 A.M. Thursday morning, Indiana State Police, Oakland City Police and Gibson County Sheriff's Office responded to a 911 hang-up call on the 500 block of Dongola in Oakland City.
While officers were on their way, dispatchers received several more 911 calls and heard a female screaming.
When officers arrived they found the 24-year-old victim sitting on the couch with a bloody nose and a laceration to her neck.
Officers say her partner was also at the home. They say 27-year-old Samantha Robbins had no visible injuries other than a small red mark on her neck.
While officers were attempting to escort Robbins outside she attempted to run off. She was quickly restrained and after a brief struggle she was handcuffed.
While searching Robbins' purse, officers say they found several Hydrocodone pills and a marijuana cigarette.
Further investigation revealed that an argument ensued between the victim and Robbins. When Bruce called 911 and attempted to talk to the dispatcher, Robbins tried to take away the phone and threatened her with a knife by holding it to her throat.
The victim was able to get the knife away from Robbins and hid it next to the couch. The knife was recovered and blood was visible on the blade. She was treated and released from Princeton General Hospital.
Robbins was taken to the Gibson County Jail where she is currently being held without bond. She faces the following charges:
Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, Class C Felony
Possession of a Controlled Substance, Class D Felony
Domestic Battery, Class A Misdemeanor
Resisting Law Enforcement, Class A Misdemeanor
Interference with the Reporting of a Crime, Class a Misdemeanor
Possession of Marijuana under 30 grams, Class A Misdemeanor
