Evansville woman dies after accident

A new development this morning in a story 14 News brought you Tuesday night at ten. We've learned a woman who was involved in an accident at Burkhardt and Lynch has died.

The wreck happened just before five Tuesday evening. Christopher J. Meunier of Newburgh told police he was eastbound on Lynch and didn't see the red light at the intersection.

His vehicle struck another, which was pushed into a third car. The driver of the second vehicle, 57-year-old Robin Gail Norris of Evansville, was taken to St. Mary's where she later passed away.

Her passenger was also taken to St. Mary's. The driver of the third vehicle was taken to Deaconess.

The accident remains under investigation.

    Mesker Park Zoo has a new attraction open, and no, it's not a new animal.  It's the new Englebrecht Carousel. A special ribbon cutting ceremony was held Wednesday. Organizers tell us they had many requests to bring back the old historical carousel from Mesker Zoo. Since that wasn't an option, the zoo, instead brought in a brand new carousel as a way for a new generation of children and families to make memories and reconnect at the zoo.
