In northern Vanderbugh County, crews had some equipment troubles while responding to a fire.
A German Township fire truck was stuck in a ditch for almost five hours.
It happened around midnight as crews were called out to an abandoned house fire off of Schaeffer Road.
Firefighters had to use hand tools to scrape out a boarder around the house to keep the fire from spreading.
Once the fire was contained they turned their attention to the truck.
Fire officials tell us it was a laborious process.
The truck weighs 60,000 pounds and had to be lifted out of the ditch inch by inch.
