Confused on changes to north Gibson schools?

Posted: Updated:
GIBSON CO., IN (WFIE) -

If you're confused on which north Gibson school is in which building, you're not alone.

School board members are asking the public for help in setting the record straight.

The ultimate goal is to create the North Gibson Learning Campus, which is more than 200 acres for school buildings.

Students in grades three through five from Brumfield Elementary will be moving into the west side of the old high school, while Brumfield undergoes a light remodel.

The ultimate goal by the 2015-2016 school year is to house grades six through eight in the old high school and call it the Princeton Community Middle School.

Students in grades three through five will be in the west side of the old high school and could be called the Princeton Community Elementary School.

Students in grades K through two will be in the Lowell South Building and Brumfield, both called Princeton Community Elementary. The main goal is to eventually combine these two schools into one building that can accommodate the students.

Those are just suggested names for the re-organized schools. Superintendent Brian Harmon is inviting the public to weigh in on new names. If you have a suggestion, you can contact the central office.
