A jury has found an Evansville man guilty for killing his girlfriend back in July of 2012.

56-year-old Robert Hicks faces 45-65 years in the death of 47-year-old Anna Jochum.

"We're pleased with the verdict and hope it gives the family some closure to move on from this horrific tragedy," Prosecutor Nick Hermann said Tuesday.

Jochum's body was found in her East Delaware apartment in July of 2012. Vanderburgh County Coroner Annie Groves said Jochum suffered a broken neck, was stabbed multiple times, and had been lying in the apartment for several days.

Hicks will be sentenced on May 28.
