HOPKINS CO., KY (WFIE) -

A guilty plea in Hopkins County court on Monday from the man accused of threatening to blow up the Dawson Springs Police Department.

32-year-old Joshua Vinson pleaded guilty to several counts of terroristic threatening stemming from an incident in August of last year.

Commonwealth attorney Kathy Senter said Vinson made several threats to blow up the Dawson Springs Police Department.

She says he also hurt police officers when they tried to arrest him, and held a woman and child against their will in a home.

"He had made several phone calls to dispatch there in Dawson Springs, had a very unkind conversation with the dispatcher there," Senter said. "At some point did threaten to blow up the Dawson Springs Police Department, made serious threats against the police who were there."

Vinson was already on probation for a 10 year sentence when this occurred, and will face formal sentencing in June.
