Prosecutors have filed drunken driving charges over a weekend crash against a suspended Indianapolis police officer awaiting trial on charges he caused a fatal 2010 collision while driving drunk in his squad car.
The Marion County prosecutor's office said Monday that a blood test showed David Bisard had a blood-alcohol level of 0.22 percent after his arrest Saturday afternoon. That's nearly three times Indiana's legal limit to drive.
Bisard remained jailed Monday on $25,000 bond from Saturday's arrest. Prosecutors say they've asked for Bisard's bond to be revoked on reckless homicide and other charges from the 2010 crash that killed a motorcyclist.
That case is pending in a Fort Wayne court, where it was moved because of extensive Indianapolis media coverage.
A message seeking comment was left for Bisard's attorney.
