The Indiana Department of Transportation is advising motorists to be aware of temporary lane restrictions on U.S. 41 at the intersection of State Road 57.
Keep Evansville Beautiful hosted a special work day on Friday that will continue on Saturday. More than 100 volunteers are working to plant wild flowers in the median of U.S. 41.
The passing lane of both north and south bound U.S. 41 will be closed near the intersection beginning around 7:00 a.m. Saturday and remained closed until 5:00 p.m. that night.
Inclement weather may cause the restriction dates and times to be delayed.
Motorists should anticipate delays and seek alternate routes. INDOT crews will be monitoring the work zone and controlling traffic as volunteers, equipment and supplies are moved to and from the work site.
INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a work zone.
