'Pink Sunday' coming up on Mother's Day

Posted: Updated:

EVANSVILLE, IN - The Evansville Tri-State Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® will once again be celebrating Pink Sunday in conjunction with Mother's Day on Sunday, May 12th.   Pink Sunday is a grassroots effort between the Komen Evansville Tri-State Affiliate and local religious organizations and community groups to educate members on the importance of good breast health practices.  The program was designed to be presented on Mother's Day but could be presented on another day that is better suited for the organization's calendar.

The Komen Evansville Tri-State Affiliate will provide a free bookmark with the four breast self-awareness steps and a pink ribbon shaped seed paper to be planted to remind women to be aware of their breast health whenever they see those beautiful flowers.

Please contact the office by e-mail at info@komenevansville.org <mailto:info@komenevansville.org>; call 812.962.2202 or call toll-free at 888.566.3620 to register.  Registration deadline is May 3, 2013.  Packets will be available for pick-up at the Affiliate office the week of Monday, May 6th thru Friday, May 10th between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. or other arrangements can be made if necessary.
