You can be a hero just by dining out Wednesday.
Restaurants across the Tri-State have pledged to give a portion of their profits to the local Red Cross Heroes Campaign.
That is their main fundraiser of the year. The organization has a goal to raise $200,000.
That money is used in disaster relief, CPR and First Aid training, blood collection, services to the military and more.
A few of the restaurants participating event this year are Spudz-N-Stuff, Papa Johns, Roca Bar North & South, Gerst Haus, Main Gate, G.D. Ritzys, Texas Roadhouse, Qdoba, Hacienda, and many more.
There is are total of 28 restaurants participating in Vanderburgh County.
There are several in Henderson, Knox, Daviess and Warrick as well.
