HARDIN COUNTY, KY (WAVE) - A Louisville rapper is facing several charges after the car he was a passenger in was pulled over in Hardin County.
According to Kentucky State Police, on April 20, around 2:30 a.m. Kenneth Anthony, 35, a member of the rap group Nappy Roots, was stopped at a roadblock with a drunk driver.
Officers allowed Anthony to call for a ride, but said he kept walking into traffic and ignoring warnings from troopers.
Troopers said after ignoring them several times Anthony was told he was under arrest. He resisted and had to be tased in order for troopers to handcuff him.
According to Kentucky State Police, once Anthony was inside the vehicle he kicked the driver's side rear window, causing damage to the window and cutting his foot. Troopers secured his feet using a seatbelt at which point they reported Anthony began to ram his head into the interior of the cruiser.
Troopers were able to subdue him with a Taser and then transported him to Hardin Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.
Anthony is charged with alcohol intoxication, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, menacing and assault on a police officer.
