Hopkinsville man arrested and charged with child exploitation

HOPKINSVILLE, KY (WFIE) -

Kentucky State Police arrested a Hopkinsville man on charges relating to child exploitation.

Jason R. Miller, 39-years-old, of Hopkinsville was arrested as a result of an investigation that began in September 2012.

Miller is accused of having numerous conversations with an out-of-state victim who is a minor.

The conversations were sexual in nature and further investigation revealed that Miller was in possession of child pornography.

Miller was charged with:

  • One count of Unlawful use of Electronic Means to Induce a Minor to Engage in Sexual or other Prohibited Activities
  • 30 counts of Possession of Matter Portraying Sexual Performance by a Minor
Both charges are Class D felonies and he was lodged into the Christian County Detention Center.
