A man is in the hospital after a standoff in Daviess County Wednesday night.
According to authorities, Sheriff's Deputies and Kentucky State Police were called to 6845 Highway 2830 just before 8:30 p.m.
When they arrived, deputies say Amy Royal told them James Nash had punched out her car's windshield.
While trying to make contact with Nash, authorities say Royal told them that Nash said he was going to kill himself.
She also said that he might have a gun.
After several attempts to make contact with Nash failed, authorities say they entered the home and found him passed out on his bedroom floor.
Nash was taken to Owensboro Health for evaluation.
According to authorities, charges are pending.
