AUBURN, AL -

After three days away from the practice field, Coach Gus Malzahn's Auburn Tigers held a two-hour early morning workout Wednesday at the Auburn Athletics Complex practice fields. This was Auburn's 11th practice session of the spring, and Malzahn was pleased with the effort.

"We had a good physical practice today," Malzahn said after practice. "We're right in the middle of the grind of a very physical spring. We've talked about getting mentally and physically tougher and this is the time of the spring our coaches are challenging our guys to push through.

"We're going to try to make this as close to a game as possible for our fans, coaches and players. We want to make it as competitive as we can. We're really looking forward to getting into the stadium with our fans, and to seeing how our players react. I think our guys have worked extremely hard this spring and we've gotten better."

Auburn returns to the practice field Friday morning for its final tune-up before A-Day on Saturday, scheduled for a 1 p.m. CT kickoff at Jordan-Hare Stadium.  View complete information for all the events surrounding A-Day at AuburnTigers.com/aday
