Driver flips vehicle on Interstate 24 West

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A single-car crash closed part of Interstate 24 westbound early Monday morning.

Police said the driver rolled over his vehicle near the Whites Creek Pike exit around 2 a.m., causing the car to land in the middle of the interstate.

The driver, who was bleeding from the head, was able to pull himself out of the crashed vehicle.

The interstate was reduced to one lane for a few hours.

The victim was taken to hospital and is expected to survive.  It's unclear was caused the wreck.
