Two arrested on meth charges now victims of home break-ins

Posted: Updated:

Two people that were arrested on meth charges in Henderson are now victims after authorities say someone keeps breaking into their home.

The Henderson County Sheriff's Office says Timothy Vanover and his wife, Jamie, were arrested last month at their home in the 2600 block of Mill Street in Smith Mills, Kentucky.

Deputy Carroll Morrow says deputies were looking for the female suspect as she had violated parole and had a warrant out for her arrest. When they found her there, Morrow says they also found meth-making materials such as Drano and lithium batteries.

Deputies then arrested both suspects on meth-making charges. Since then, Morrow says there have been at least two break-ins to that home.

Deputies say they have been talking to neighbors in the area about who the suspects might be and Morrow says this kind of thing is more common than you think.

Authorities say they currently don't have a suspect in mind, but they believe whoever is burglarizing the place is acquainted with the couple.
