Downtown tire store vandalized, gumball machine stolen

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Metro police said a gumball machine was taken Friday morning after a break-in at a downtown tire store.

The robbery occurred at a Goodyear store on Eighth Avenue North.

Police were called around 5:30 a.m. when someone noticed the front door was shattered, merchandise was knocked down and chairs were flipped.

No money was taken, but the store's gumball machine was taken by the thieves.

Police continue to investigate.
