Parents looking to restore some peace and quiet in their homes are invited to attend two workshops that start tonight in Owensboro.
The workshops start at 6:30 p.m. at Owensboro Community and Technical College's Blandford Lecture Hall.
They're called "Stop Defiance and Disrespect: Eliminate Power Struggles and Sibling Fights."
Tonight's workshop runs until 8:30 p.m., and tomorrow's will be held from 9-11 a.m.
National Behavioral Consultant Kirk Martin and his son, Casey, will share some of their personal experiences as well.
They'll talk about things like how to stop fighting and yelling, as well as curbing disrespect and sibling battles.
Parents will also get some ideas about making mornings, homework time, and bedtime less stressful.
Since it can sometimes be difficult to get kids away from technology, Martin will talk about how to turn off the video games and computers without a fight.
These workshops are free and open to the public.
You don't even have to register, just show up.
