A Middle Tennessee educator plans to step down from the charter organization he founded.
Jeremy Kane will step down as CEO from LEAD Public Schools in July and plans to leave the organization completely at the end of the 2013-2014 school year when LEAD's first class will graduate.
"This morning, when I talked to the kids about this transition, I asked them if they'd let me graduate with them," Kane said.
The organization's current president, Chris Reynolds, will take over Kane as CEO in July.
LEAD Public Schools has four campuses in Nashville.
