Drivers in downtown Owensboro will have some big changes to get used to starting on Monday.
A couple of streets around the new hotel and convention center shift from one to two-way.
Locust Street from Second Street to Fifth Street will now cater to two-way traffic, as well as Walnut Street from Second Street to Fifth Street.
The city explains that these changes are part of Owensboro's downtown development.
If you travel in those areas regularly, you've probably seen some new traffic lights going up in preparation for the change.
Crews from OMU and the City Street Department have been working to get the streets ready for today's shift.
Road officials are urging you to take your time and use extra caution in these areas as everyone get used to the shift.
