Family, friends and total strangers continue to say goodbye to Sgt. Michael Cable.
Visitation for the fallen soldier begins this afternoon.
Sgt. Cable's body was brought to the Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home in Owensboro after yesterday's procession.
Later today, his visitation will take place from 2-8 p.m.
It's also happening from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. tomorrow.
Sgt. Cable's funeral begins at 1 tomorrow afternoon.
He'll be buried in Rose Hill Cemetery off of Old Hartford Road.
Hundreds of residents lined the streets yesterday as the procession moved through Owensboro.
Many of the people didn't know Sgt. Cable or his family personally, but say they felt compelled to pay their final respects to someone who's given so much.
As we told you the other day, Pan Head Fred's Bar and Grill in Owensboro is hosting a benefit for Sgt. Cable's family tomorrow beginning at 10 a.m.
Members of the Daviess County Sheriff's Office say they're going to be at the benefit as well.
Everyone is welcome to attend to show their support for the family.
The staff tell us that hosting a benefit is the least it could do to honor Sgt. Cable's sacrifices for our country.
