No charges were filed after Evansville Police say a man threatened his girlfriend outside of a west-side day-care and stole her cell phone.
Officers say the man was armed with a knife and threatened to slash her tires.
It happened late Thursday morning outside a home day-care on Tunis Drive.
Police say the man took off running and was caught near the railroad tracks at Barker and Claremont.
Officers say the girlfriend didn't want to press charges and not long after that, Police say he tried to break into the girlfriend's car outside of her West Franklin Street apartment.
