MICHAEL GOLD, a 2012 Castle HS graduate already marching his second year with theBlue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps. Michael is a music education major and trombonist at Murray State University, where he is also a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.

Luckily for Michael, the Lacrosse, WI based Blue Stars hold many of their rehearsal camps close by in Indianapolis, but in two short weeks he'll be headed to spring training in...Forest City Iowa. (somewhere near the Minnesota-Iowa border)

Michael is SUPER excited to be marching at his first home show in Evansville (hey, who wouldn't?)
He'll have the added bonus of being "near" home for an extra day as the Blue Stars will be staying at Reitz HS for rehearsal days both Wednesday AND Thursday June 26 & 27th, before they head out to their next stop on the DCI tour.

DAVID WANTLAND of Newburgh. David graduated from Castle HS in 2011, and is a horn & music education major at University of Evansville. He's active in Phi Mu Alpha and currently serves as the fraternity education officer. David also worked on the visual staff for the Castle Marching Knights the past two seasons.

David will be marching his second summer in the Madison Scoutsmellophone line, having previously marched in 2011. Remember that show "New York Morning" with the unbelievable ending "Empire State of Mind?" Yeah...he was in THAT show.

LESLIE GOAD of Henderson, KY is another local DCI veteran! She fell in love with the activity in her high school color guard, and started out in DCI as a member of Nashville's Music City Drum and Bugle Corps in 2011. Next month, we'll see her at Drums on the Ohio as a returning member of Spirit Drum and Bugle Corps!

Leslie currently studies communication disorders @ Murray State University, where she is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota music fraternity. She has "never been so excited about a show concept than I am for Spirit's this summer. It will be entertaining to say the least!" As 2013 is her final (age-out) season, we're thrilled that Leslie's friends & family will get to see her perform at her home show. Best of luck this summer, Leslie, and we can't wait to see what Spirit of Atlanta has in store for us!

Evansville's KEVIN MANLEY has been experiencing life with a totally new meaning the past two weeks, as he's a new mellophone member with the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps! Kevin is a 2011 graduate of North HS in Evansville, and has spent the past two years studying Media Production/Arts & Design at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He's also a staff member with the popular marching site IndianaMarching.com.

Another local "DCI veteran" is DANIELLE BEAN of Henderson, KY. She began spinning in 2006 and participated in the Henderson County HS winterguard for 3 years. She currently attendsUniversity of Kentucky and studies geography.

Danielle is a charter member of Lexis Winter Guard, the 2012 WGI IA bronze medalists and IO semi finalists. In 2011 she marched with Music City Drum and Bugle Corps of Nashville, and is currently in her second season as a member of the Spirit Drum and Bugle Corps from Atlanta, GA.
