The funeral of the Daviess County solider that was killed in Afghanistan will be at the end of this week, according to the family's spokesperson.
They say 26-year-old Sgt. Michael Cable's body will be flown into Owensboro at 8:35 a.m. on Thursday morning.
There will a procession lead by Rolling Thunder, Legion Riders, and other various veterans organizations to Haley McGinnis Funeral Home on Locust Street.
We're told the procession will begin at Tamarack, then turn down Frederica to Parrish Avenue, and then down Locust Street to the funeral home.
14 News is told visitation for Sgt. Cable will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The funeral will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
Sgt. Cable will be buried in Rose Hill Cemetery off Old Hartford Road.
Sgt. Cable's sister has set up a Facebook page in honor of her brother with updates from the family. A few posts have already been made, like this one:
