Two Clare County individuals have been formally charged in a child sex investigation. The investigation began in the Farwell School District.
Clare County Sheriff's deputies said the crimes involve girls under the age of 16.
On March 7, Farwell's school liaison officer began looking into a child pornography distribution case. While working with the county sheriff's detective, they found evidence that points to criminal sexual conduct.
Angela Parrish, 41, of Farwell, is charged with distribution of child porn. Darin Champine, 45, also of Farwell, faces three counts of criminal sexual conduct in the second degree.
Investigators didn't release the relationships between the suspects and the minor victims. We also do not know if the two charges involve the same victims. Parents TV5 spoke with Monday night said they are disgusted.
"It pulls me in the wrong way," said Joseph Baugher, who has children who attend Farwell schools.
Jerry Holton also has children who attend school in the district. He said he would like to think something like this wouldn't happen in Farwell.
"I wouldn't think it does, but there's sickos everywhere, so it's happening all over the place," said Holton.
Both Parrish and Champine posted bond and are awaiting their next court dates. Stay with TV5 as we learn more about this case.
