Consider Smothers Park in your Spring Break plans

There's a new option to keep the kiddos entertained in Daviess County during Spring Break.

If you're looking for a way to get out of the house this Spring Break, officials in Owensboro hope you'll consider Smothers Park.

The concession at the park is now open and will be everyday through Sunday.

The city says the park is a perfect place to hangout during Spring Break. The spray park at the park is currently closed, but the city says it will open some time later this spring.

"Getting treasured memories here. Really fun. It was her first time going down a slide and she loved it," said Kim Vaughn, who was visits Smothers Park.

Smothers Park is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. However, the playground at the park is only open from 7:00 in the morning until 10:00 at night.
