Child injured when hit by car in Evansville accident

Emergency crews were called to an accident with injuries at a busy Evansville intersection Monday afternoon.

Officials tell 14 News that a child was hit by a car a little around 3:00 p.m. Evansville police say the child was taken to the hospital with elbow and chest injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

EPD says an off-duty officer was the first on scene. They are continuing to investigate.
