Be a "Fairy God-Parent" and sponsor for the Fairy Tale Ball

April is Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month and the Ark Crisis Child Care Center is marking the occasion by hosting a Fairy Tale Ball fundraiser.

Cinderella, Rapunzel, Aladdin, Jasmine and many more of your favorite fairy tale favorites will be at the ball.

Kids and families can have dinner and dance as well as do arts and crafts, take photos and more!

The money will go toward the planned expansion for the center.

Ark helped 1,700 kids in 2012, but 2,500 were still on the waiting list. The expansion will add another classroom and double the infant care program.

Proceeds from the Fairy Tale Ball will pay for the salaries of new teachers, as well as food and supplies (like cots for nap time) for the kids.

The fund raiser will be held on Saturday, April 6 at the Career and Tech Center at 1901 Lynch Rd., in Evansville.

It will start at 5 p.m. and go until 7 p.m.

Tickets are still available.

You can find more information, as well as a link for you to buy tickets here.

If you can't make it, you can still help out by donating $25. That will pay for a child and his or her family to attend.
