Three dead after Friday accident on Interstate-24 in KY

KENTUCKY (WFIE) -

Three people died after a three vehicle crash on Interstate-24 in Kentucky, near the Tennessee State line, on Friday morning.

Police say a car heading westbound and being driven by 38-year-old Michael Mahan of Flat Rock, AL, drove across the median and hit a U-Haul truck driving eastbound. Mahan then hit the vehicle driving behind it, with the wife and daughters of the U-Haul driver inside.

Trenton and his two young passengers, an 11-year-old and a 16-year-old were killed.

The driver of the U-Haul was not hurt. Those in the other vehicle were taken to Gateway Medical Center for treatment.
