An Owensboro church was recognized on Good Friday by holding a 'Live Way of the Cross' event in the streets of Owensboro.
More than 100 people from Saint Joseph and Paul Catholic Church walked along Clay St and 7th St Friday afternoon as part of the church's annual Way of the Cross procession.
Church members followed the group reenacting Jesus' journey to calvary.
"We do it because it is a tradition in Latin America," says Christopher Gutierrez. "It's a tradition that Hispanic Catholics mainly from Mexico and from other countries as well do on Good Friday."
Organizers say Saint Joseph and Paul Catholic Church put on the event because they're the only catholic church in Daviess County that ministers to Hispanics.
