SOWEGA coaches meet in fellowship at FCA Coaches' Dinner

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

High school and college coaches from all over Southwest Georgia were in Albany today, but not in a competitive manner.

The coaches were spending time at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Coaches Fellowship at Sherwood Baptist Church.

It gives the men and women a chance to spend time with one another off the field of play, and FCA Area Director Bill Cox says it strengthens the values they then pass on to their players.

"It's building character," says FCA Area Director Bill Cox. "Honesty, integrity, service, teamwork, and excellence are our core values we instill in them that they instill in their players."

The guest speaker was former Monroe Tornado and NFL running back Derrick Moore, who currently serves as Chaplain for Georgia Tech.
