Chase on Hwy 41 ends in Henderson

WEBSTER CO., KY (WFIE) -

New information on the chase that took place in Kentucky on Highway 41.

Ralph Baier, 46-years-old, was driving in Webster County in a large Dodge Ram truck that was stolen out of TN.

He had a warrant out for his arrest for assaulting a police officer in Rutherford, TN.

Baier attempted to run over the officer with the stolen truck.

Officers spotted the truck in Webster County, KY which started a chase northbound on Hwy 41.

Baier was stopped in rush hour traffic in Henderson when police was able to get in front of him.

He ended up surrendering in the middle of the street on Marywood Drive.

Baier wouldn't open the door, but only put his hands up.

Officers busted out the driver's side window to get him out, and had the truck towed to a nearby Dollar General parking lot to get it out of traffic.

Rutherford Police claim Baier is a danger to himself and is very suicidal.

He's currently being held in the Henderson County Jail
