The Indiana Department of Transportation is closing State Road 261 in Warrick County.
They say the road will be closed in junction of State Road 66 to State Road 62, and will be closed completely from Old Plank to Jenner Road.
"That road being closed does concern me," says Mark Kennedy.
Kennedy is just two months into is newest venture, start computers.
He says right now he needs all the business he can get.
"I kind of depend on the traffic," says Kennedy. "That's the reason I picked this particular area because we get a lot of walk-ins."
Two doors down, Bill Engelbrecht is set to open his newest farm market as soon as next week.
"I went through this 4 or 5 years ago, and I'm not willing to do it again," says Engelbrecht.
He says in this business, his peak season is April through November, which just happens to be the same time period, the Department of Transportation is planning this phase of the project.
"They've hurt a lot of businesses in this area and I hope it's not hurting me starting back up again," says Kennedy.
Crews could begin work as soon as April 8.
Kennedy is keeping his fingers crossed that the orange cones don't have his business seeing red.
This will allow the widening project of SR-261 to continue.
INDOT says access to homes and businesses will remain open until the project is completed.
