61-year-old man shot after leaving Clarksville club

CLARKSVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Police said a 61-year-old man is in stable condition after a shooting outside a club early Thursday morning in Montgomery County.

The shooting occurred around 3:32 a.m. in the 1350 block of College Street. 

Police said the victim left the club and a man jumped out of a car and demanded the victim's money.

The 61-year-old man refused to give up his money and was shot multiple times, according to investigators. The shooters did not get the victim's money and fled from the scene.

LifeFlight helicopter transported the man to a Nashville hospital.

The shooter was described as a black male with a small afro, early 20s, light complexion, about 5'10", 175 lbs, wearing an orange shirt and blue jeans.
