A police chase ended around 5:00 Monday afternoon in Posey County after authorities tried to pull over a vehicle in Evansville.

Authorities say it all started as an attempted traffic stop around 4:30 p.m. in Evansville, and the suspect took off. The chase ended at State Road 165 and Siebert Road near Poseyville.

Our crew says at least 13 law enforcement vehicles were on scene and Posey County deputies confirmed the suspect was shot in the shoulder.

The suspect in the chase, 32-year-old Keith Michael Reiter, of Evansville, is being in the Vanderburgh County Jail after being treated for the gunshot wound.

Evansville Police tell us they believe the chase is related to a home invasion that happened Monday morning on St. Joseph Avenue on the west side of Evansville.

Authorities tell us no one else was hurt during the chase.
