An Owensboro organization undergoes a facelift and is ready to make its presence known throughout the community.
Now known as Connecting Young Leaders of Owensboro, or CYLO, the group just hosted its first development roundtable to encourage community improvement.
These will be held three more times this year and are centered around topics that focus on personal and professional development.
Some of them include how to find a healthy work-life balance and the process that takes place if you're looking to start a small business.
Recently, members say the group had gained more of a social feel, but they wanted to keep the mission centered around community improvement and development, including working with city officials to share that responsibility.
CYLO member Luke Alexander explains the organization's vision.
"We want to see Owensboro grow and develop into the type of community and the type of city that it can become and we don't want the people that are involved to sit on the sidelines and just let that happen," said Alexander.
Any young professionals under 40 are welcome to join CYLO. If you'd like to become a member click here for more information.
