City to host surplus auction: golf carts, cars and everything in between

If you're in need of car, golf cart or anything in between, you may want to check out the City of Evansville surplus auction later this week.

About 30 vehicles will be auctioned off.

You can find everything from four door sedans and jeeps to golf carts, (eight to be specific) to construction vehicles.

All the vehicles came from different city departments and each will be sold as is.

The bidding will take place at 9 a.m. on Thursday at Wolf's Auto Auction.

However, if you want to participate you'll have to come to Wolf's in person on Wednesday March 27th, the day before, to register.

Todd Robertson, Executive Director of the Department of Transportation and Services says this is the first time dealers will be able to participate online.

"I guess a theory out there that the more people you have bidding on it, then the more revenue could be generated for the city. So therefore we thought we'd ask which ever vendor we'd use to actually offer these vehicles online. So this is the first time and it's pretty exciting for us."

If you are interested in taking part in the auction, come to Wolf's any time between 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

For more information you can call Wolf's at (812) 425-4576.

Or you can visit Wolf's website.
