A low will track through the Tri-State Sunday through Monday, bringing showers, thunderstorms and heavy, wet snow.

A Winter Storm WARNING is now in effect generally north of I-64, with a Winter Weather Advisory points south, but does not include Hopkins, Muhlenberg and Ohio Counties.

Showers and thunderstorms will continue to move in Sunday afternoon with a changeover to snow late afternoon/evening.

The heaviest snow accumulations are setting up over south Illinois and along the US 50 corridor, with 3-6"+ likely there. That drops to about 2-4" in places like Princeton and Shawneetown, 1-3" in Evansville, Henderson, Owensboro, and Jasper. That's 1" or so in Madisonville and Greenville.

This will taper off throughout the day on Monday, but will have significant travel impacts on the Monday morning commute, particularly the farther north and west you are in the Tri-State.
