Ronald McDonald House has received a $2000 donation from Fifth Third Bank at the Evansville IceMen last home game Saturday Night, thanks to saves IceMen goalies made throughout the season.
Through the Saves of the Game contest, Fifth Third donated $1 for every save IceMen goalies made at Ford Center. The final number came in just shy of 1000, but Fifth Third more than doubled the amount to aid Ronald McDonald House, which provides a home away from home for families of hospitalized critically ill children.
One of the first families helped at the Evansville Ronald McDonald House in 2009, Aaron, Beth and 3-year-old Sawyer Pfister, and the RMH Executive Director Jeremy Evans accepted the donation from Rick Silvers, Fifth Third Bank Senior Vice President and Head of Retail Banking out on the ice Saturday night.
