EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

The freezing temperatures are being closely watched by growers.

Especially those with orchards.

The Orchard President at TJ's Orchard tells 14 News even though the weather has been chilly, the crops are growing right on schedule.

Tim Moers says TJ's is a seasonal orchard, growing apples, pumpkins and Indian corn.

He tells us that the apples are still in the dormant stage.

He says crops haven't frozen in years and at his orchard, over 100 new trees will be planted soon.

Moers says the trees start blooming around the first week of April.

He also says that he expects them to be right on track this year.
