O'boro dropout age raised to 18

Posted: Updated:

The Owensboro School Board voted unanimously to support raising the high school drop out age to 18-years-old.

On Monday, Governor Beshear signed a bill to raise the high school dropout age from 16 to 18.

The bill allows school districts to choose whether to increase the dropout age.

But after 55% of school districts sign on, it would be required statewide.
