HENDERSON, KY (WFIE) -

Some Henderson County High School students spent part of Tuesday in the dark, as a power outage dragged on for several hours.

PIO Danielle Crafton confirms power was out and landline phones were down for several hours at the school.

She says as crews were on-site working to get phones and power back on, classed continued as normal.

The power outage started around noon, and, we're told, a one-call notification was sent to parents.

The school representatives tell us that the power was never completely out. They say it was spotty throughout building.

The problems will change some schedules tonight.

We're told there will be no inter session indoor athletic activities tonight, and the CHEERS program has also canceled its activities for the evening.
