Semi driver in serious condition after Monday accident

It took three tow trucks and some careful maneuvering to get a semi truck back onto the Pennyrile Parkway in Hopkins County Monday evening.

On Tuesday, Kentucky State Police told 14 News the driver, 66-year-old Samuel Sellers of Henderson, is in serious condition at St. Mary's Medical Center.

Troopers are still not sure why Sellers' big rig ran off the right side of the southbound lane on the Pennyrile Parkway around mile marker 39 and down an earth embankment.

Troopers say he was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident.
