Police looking for liquor store robbery suspect

Posted: Updated:

Police are looking for the suspect who robbed an Evansville liquor store Saturday morning.

Evansville police say a man went into the Liquor Locker on N. Heidelbach Avenue around 9:20 Saturday morning, implied he had a gun but didn't show it, and demanded money.

Dispatch says the suspect is a thin built man in his early 40s. He was wearing a white T-shirt, a black hoodie, jeans, a white scarf over his face, and socks on his hands.

Liquor Locker says the suspect got away with a few hundred dollars and took off running down East Illinois Street.

"Once you're in that situation, you want to hurry up and get it over with and call the police and get them here. I wasn't really scared, it was just shaky. You know like, 'Oh my God. No he's not robbing me right now,'" the Liquor Locker clerk said.

No one hurt during the robbery and no arrests have been made.

If you have any information about the robbery, call Evansville police.
