They say these products have the potential to contain metal fragments, which could result in moderate or serious injuries such as choking, mouth cuts or lacerations, and dental problems.

No injuries have been reported so far.

Customers who have purchased these products should stop using them and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.

This recall is happening because the company was notified by the Ohio Department of Agriculture that there were metal shavings found in the salt applicator.

Lloyd Young says this is the first recall that he knows of since working in the company for the past 20-years.

All of the major retailers have been notified.

This includes:

  • Schnuck's
  • Wal-Mart
  • Beuhler's

The recalled chips will all be destroyed.
