MUHLENBERG CO., KY (WFIE) -

Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused a deadly mobile home fire.

The coroner says 48-year-old Ronald Noffsinger died in the fire which broke out around 4:00 a.m. Thursday morning on Hwy 70 W.

"He's just quiet and don't bother nobody, just kind of stays to himself," says Kathy Keeling.

Keeling used to be married to Noffsinger's brother.

She happens to live just two doors down from his house.

"My daughter said she heard a loud boom, she came outside and I guess that's when she saw the flames," says Keeling.

The flames were shooting as high as 10 feet up into the air when firefighters arrived.

As crews worked hard to put out the flames, Noffsinger's family got a bad feeling.

"We just knew he stayed by himself and we pretty much knew that he was probably there," says Keeling.

Ben Tooley, Bremen Fire Chief says, "After we got the fire out, extinguished all the flames and the smoke dissipated, we looked through the outside of the structure and seen the body."
