LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – A Louisville woman on her way to jail made a detour to an emergency room after admitting she inserted a hypodermic needle into her vagina so her arresting officer wouldn't find it.
According to her arrest report, Nicole J. Greenfield, 36, was arrested at her home at Pendleton Road and Dixie Highway on Wednesday for an outstanding warrant on drug charges. When the officer told her that Metro Corrections has an x-ray machine, Greenfield admitted that she had put the needle in her vagina to hide it from police knocking on her door.
While at the booking area of Metro Corrections, Greenfield was able to retrieve only the cap from the needle, according to police.
She was taken to University of Louisville Hospital so the actual needle could be extracted.
Greenfield is charged with tampering with physical evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
