Three suspects arrested for operating a meth lab inside a Newburgh home

Three suspects were arrested and preliminarily charged with numerous drug related charges on Thursday morning for manufacturing methamphetamine in Warrick County.

Around 5:00 a.m. deputies investigated a strange odor coming from 3299 Bell Road in Newburgh.

Deputies recognized that odor is associated with the manufacturing of meth, and obtained a search warrant for the residence while the suspects were detained.

54-year-old Robin Montgomery, 56-year-old Marilyn McCallister, and 23-year-old Haylea McCallister were jailed and charged with:

  • Manufacturing methamphetamine, Class B felony
  • Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to manufacture, Class B felony
  • Possession of Precursors with intent to manufacture methamphetmine, Class C felony
  • Possession of Ammonia with intent to manufacture methamphetmine, Class C felony
  • Maintaining a common nuisance, Class D felony

There was also a firearm found inside the house which enhanced some of the charges to a greater offense.
